We at Jaina, celebrated the Inauguration of our new suite in Sector Five, Salt Lake, Kolkata, on 18-March-2010.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Honorable Consul General, US Consulate, Kolkata. Her Excellency, Ms. Beth A. Payne, not only inaugurated the office, but also the new facilities and monitoring system at the Network Operation Center. It was a two-hour function starting from 11.30AM.

The best part of this eventful day was the beautiful and inspiring message that Her Excellency has left for us.

With the growing needs of the company, new members have joined us, and hence the need for a better and bigger office was felt. Jaina Systems Network (India) Pvt. Ltd. has now shifted to new office, in Sector V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata.

The Inauguration Ceremony was held on the 18th of March 2010. This office has an “open-door” common workspace to seat about 35 to 40 people, a bigger reception, Network Operation Center, CEO’s cabin, conference hall and cafeteria.

Secure entry will be regulated by a fully automated and monitored mechanism. Each Door Access Card contains information about the member of the staff.

About Auto-Redundancy

Auto redundancy capacity and disaster recovery

A telecommunication network involves the use of cables. Natural calamities and failure of functioning of equipments are some of the disasters that are suffered and need to be overcome.

Auto-redundancy is the method of automating restoration of service to damaged or destroyed telecommunication network elements. A restoration plan is executed automatically in order to recover data about the damaged network.

The brief outline of the method is as below:

To route non-involved telecommunications traffic around an affected area.
To give the affected area communications access to the rest of the world.
To repair damage and restore normal condition.

In Jaina, in order to provide uninterrupted service to our customers, we have ensured diversification on the capacities. Our SS7 network is built using highly redundant architecture. To ensure redundancy, these capacities have been taken on different cable networks. We have provisioned capacities both on Atlantic via France and Pacific via Singapore route connecting India.

In 2008, Jaina Systems Network went for white label marketing of International Calling Cards. Below is a brief FAQ on Callings Cards and their utility.

Q) What are Calling Cards?
A) Calling cards provide a money-saving solution and also help in usage of the new local connection without losing network access. They are very useful and convenient for the tourists and visitors to different countries. Even the students studying in far off places find it quite beneficial to stay in touch with their near and dear ones.

Both prepaid and contractual systems are available or these cards. Prepaid or credit based method is more preferred than the postpaid methods. Prices of these cards vary from brand to brand. They are also location-dependent.

Q) How to use Calling Cards?
A) It is a 3-stage dialing process.

Dial the access number to the country one is calling from.
Enter the 10 digit PIN number
Enter the number, which one is making call to.

Q) How to refill these cards?
A) The refilling of these cards is possible through online process, which means there is no need to visit to the retailer again and again. There are several dedicated websites available on Internet, which provide complete and up-to-date information on such cards.

Q) What is the Payment system?
A) A person can shop for these International calling cards from various portals, and can pay through any Payment gateway
